Our mission is fourfold: to empower seasoned professionals to give back through mentorship; to create opportunities for those historically overlooked; to demonstrate that all female crews can execute productions at the highest level; and to champion no-waste, eco-conscious filmmaking practices without unnecessary cost. By uniting passion, skill, and purpose, we redefine what it means to create cinema... with impact on screen and integrity behind the scenes.
problems in our industry...
Film industry is still male-dominated
Despite a surge in grants and parity campaigns, women remain scarce behind the camera. In 2023, the Celluloid Ceiling reported that of the top 250 films, 94% had no women DPs, 86% no women composers, 83% no women directors, 74% no women writers, and 72% no women editors. In 2024, only 8% of topgrossing films employed 10+ women in key behind-the-scenes roles, and women held just 23% of director/writer/producer/EP/editor/DP jobs (above-the-line roles are ~26%, down 2 points from 2023). Bottom line: despite countless initiatives, hiring norms and gatekeeping keep progress stagnant—or sliding.

Sustainability on set
On most sets, sustainability is an afterthought—nice to tout, easy to drop. The default is still single-use plastics, diesel generators, printed call sheets, and tons of wasted food, wardrobe, and set materials. Even “green” programs exist, they’re often optional or ignored when budgets and timelines tighten. Build it in from day one: digital workflows, efficient power, mindful sourcing, reuse/donation pipelines, and lowwaste craft. It’s cheaper over time, boosts crew morale, and strengthens community while cutting the footprint.
Mentorship + childcare
Lack of mentorship and childcare drives skilled women out of film. Opaque, “who-you-know” hiring blocks advancement in technical departments, while punishing hours and no on-set childcare force caregivers into impossible choices. Women are far more likely to exit mid-career—motherhood accelerates it—draining talent just as they near leadership. Until mentorship and childcare are built in, the pipeline leaks and underrepresentation persists.
